Boy Scouts Team with PROPEL Ev odio is a youth member living with extended family in Boca Raton. He is a dynamic youth with much potential but needed a program to help gain exposure to new friends and positive activities. Evodios grandmother which is a 65 year resident of Boca Raton and a former Girl Scout leader joined PROPEL staff in supporting Evodios participation in Boy Scout Troop 337. Evodio was supported by PROPEL by supplying his uniforms and camping equipment so he could jump right in and be one of the boys. Evodio has earned the rank of Tenderfoot and has been on just returned from summer camp at Camp Daniel Boone in North Carolina. He has a new group of friends and now has additional positive role models in his life. |

Mike Jarvis Teaches the Skills for Life to PROPEL
The Skills for Life Curriculum is a complete educational program that can be used in after-school programs, youth development and leadership training, welfare-to-work and juvenile justice guidance, career counseling and job training. Propel participants are taught Skills for Life needed to succeed. Propel participants are taught Skills for Life needed to succeed. Support to attain the GED is working for Kenisha Collymore
Kenisha is a 20 year old PROPEL participant who attends the Young Women Of Standards workshops. She has been inspired to continue her education by attending GED classes to assist her in obtaining her certification in Child Care Development. Kenisha's goal is to open her own Child Care Center. |

Skills For Life Charter School and PROPEL support Jason Howell to earn his high school diploma
Jason Howell, a 21 year old PROPEL participant had attempted several times to complete his GED. After attending a trip to the theater to see "Freedom Writers" as a Life Skills Workshop with several other participants, Jason began contemplating his own life. He is now working for Investments Limited part-time and attending Life Skills Center in Delray Beach to obtain his High School Diploma. |

College Entrance Guidance to PBCC Plans way to FAU for Tyrone Brooks
Tyrone a 6 year participant in PROPEL had a dream to go to Florida Atlantic University. He graduated from Boca High School with dreams to be the first in his family to attend college. Tyrone needed some additional guidance in order to fulfill his dream. The Florida Atlantic University Director of Admissions Alberto Colom graciously worked with PROPEL staff to give special attention to Tyrone s application and plan for success. A plan was put in place that allowed Tyrone to go to Palm Beach Community College and after two years transfer all credits to FAU where Tyrone plans to fulfill his dream of being a Teacher and Counselor. Tryone also participates in the apprenticeship program and works a minimum of 4 hours a day at Investments Limited. A support structure was established to help with loans and guidance to help this bright young man be among the only people in his community to ever graduate from college. |

College Student Mentoring with Florida Atlantic University supports Cedrica Yapp
Sedrika is a student that did not take life or education very seriously for a long time. However with the love and support from PROPEL she participated in the student mentor-ship program and we are happy to report she has turned things around. Now a sophomore at Florida Atlantic University she has enrolled as an Architect major and has shown a picture of her design model project that was completed on time and received an "A" grade as one of the best projects submitted. |

HIV/Aids Awareness Workshop by Devin Robinson
He has traveled all over the country, performed his message on MTV and BET networks in an upbeat and youthful fashion. He engaged the PROPEL youth by performing skits and dialog that assisted them in becoming more aware and protecting themselves from this deadly epidemic.
